Eating from the garden
Kale and carrots and beets are great to grow because they’re producers and they’re low maintenance. They can sit in the garden for weeks after technically being ready to pick. They don’t go bad, they just kind of hang out until you’re ready to pluck them out of the ground or off the stalk. Sometimes I even leave carrots in the ground through a few frosts.
Everything in this salad came from my garden. The feeling never gets old.
